I set up a repository on GitHub for an app I was working on that would allow users to create a collective bucket list for our city. I called it “sasebo-adventures” but as I got started I realized I didn’t want to limit the list to just Sasebo.
I debated leaving it as-is but finally decided it would annoy me too much. I found an article on GitHub Help called “Changing a remote’s URL.” Basically, you just go to your repo on GitHub and rename it in settings. Then, from the command line type ‘git remote set-url origin https://github.com/USERNAME/REPOSITORY.git’
